How it works

From tip to drop.

How a drop ends up in our calendar. Four steps, in order.

You tip us off.

Most weeks we get tips by DM or email. We also keep an eye on retailer schedules and the pop-ups we know about. If you’re shipping in London, we usually hear.

We check it's real.

Every drop has to be an actual release. We need a date, a channel and a product that exists. If it’s a mood board or a teaser, it doesn’t go in.

We cut the list down.

We get around 40 tips a week and publish 10 to 15. The rest get covered later, if they’re worth covering.

It goes live on Saturday.

The list publishes at 09:00 BST every Saturday. We add things through the week as they come in. Subscribe to the Sunday letter if you’d rather get it by email.

How do I get my drop on BuyMertra?

Email drops@buymertra.com about a week before launch. Tell us the date, where it’s going up and what the product is. We read every email from London brands, even if we don’t always reply.

Is BuyMertra only for London brands?

Mostly, yes. We’re focused on London. Sometimes we’ll cover a UK or European brand if there’s a clear London link, like a collab, a pop-up here, or a designer based in the city.

Do you charge for coverage?

No. Coverage is free and decided by our editors. We don’t take money for a spot in the calendar or for a feature. If something is sponsored, it’s labelled.

When is the list updated?

The list publishes at 09:00 BST every Saturday. We add late entries through the week as we hear about them, and update statuses once a drop goes live.

Where can I find old Drops of the Week?

We’re working on a proper archive. For now, head to The Read and filter by “Field Notes” to find old write-ups.

Can I get drops in my inbox?

Yes. The Sunday Dispatch is a free email that goes out once a week. It’s a short summary of the calendar plus one piece of writing. Sign up at the bottom of the home page.
